This guide takes you from zero to a working Request+ setup: app installed, music platform connected, chat connected, and the overlay live in OBS.

Prerequisites

  • A supported operating system: Windows 10/11, macOS, or Linux.
  • A streaming account on Twitch, Kick, or YouTube.
  • A music player you actually use: Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, or SoundCloud.
  • OBS Studio or Streamlabs if you want the on-stream overlay.

Install Request+

Download the app

Grab the latest build from the official downloads page or GitHub Releases.Platform packages available:
  • Windows installer or portable build
  • Windows MSIX/AppX package
  • macOS package
  • Linux package

Install and launch

Run the installer for your OS and open Request+. On first launch the app registers the device with the Request+ API using hardware/device authentication — no password needed for the desktop client itself.

Sign in to your stream platform

Connect Twitch and/or Kick via OAuth from the app’s settings. Request+ uses secure OAuth so your credentials never touch the app.See Chat integrations for the full walkthrough.

Connect your music platform

Pick the platform you stream with and follow its setup:

Add the overlay to OBS

Add the Request+ overlay as a browser source in OBS or Streamlabs so viewers see what’s playing.Full instructions: Stream overlay.

Take your first request

In your stream chat, type:
!sr never gonna give you up
Request+ resolves the track, adds it to your queue, sends it to your music player, and updates the overlay.
